PPS AM230

( number of products: 1 )

Spectrum PPS AM230 is a high-temperature filament based on polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) known for exceptional mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and dimensional stability. It is inherently non-flammable and ideal for demanding applications requiring resistance to heat, chemicals, and mechanical stress.

Spectrum PPS AM230 is a specialized 3D printing filament made from polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), renowned for its outstanding mechanical and thermal properties. It maintains rigidity, strength, and creep resistance under continuous loads at temperatures above 100°C. The filament offers a high Vicat softening point of 236°C and heat deflection temperature (HDT) of 129°C.

This material features excellent chemical resistance, being virtually insoluble in most solvents including concentrated acids and bases. Spectrum PPS AM230 is inherently flame-retardant without additives and has high dielectric strength, making it an ideal electrical insulator. It also bonds exceptionally well to silicone, enabling airtight sealing applications.

Optimal printing requires a heated nozzle between 300-330°C, build plate at 100-120°C, and a heated chamber at 60-80°C. To prevent thermal stress cracking, especially on complex geometries, it is recommended to cool prints gradually inside the heated chamber before removal.
